Just got off the phone with Wendy. She just arrived in her hotel room in Dar es Salaam. She sounds great, safe and exhausted.

Thank goodness she avoided the dreaded first day elephant encounter. They like to sneak upon you when you are disoriented and a bit tired!
I'm sure they tried. What they didn't know was that Wendy's friend Marcia gave her a spray can of Elephant Repellent. So Wendy was prepared.
